Steam Achievement Fetcher

A full-stack web application that integrates with the Steam API to generate random achievement challenges for users with social and gamified features.

• Implemented Steam OpenID login, achievement fetching, and database logic with Firebase on the backend.
• Built a responsive frontend with tracking dashboards and leaderboards to monitor user engagement, system uptime, and performance metrics.
• System tracks streaks, manages friend connections, and ranks users competitively.
• Contributed to end-to-end operational success ensuring system functionality, data integrity, and a secure user-friendly experience.

Texas Hold 'Em Poker Bot

Developed a reinforcement learning Texas Hold 'Em bot using PyTorch and Google DeepMind's OpenSpiel framework to optimize strategy in limited-information environments.

• Implemented neural network components including dense input layers, multi-action output heads, and SoftMax activation functions.
• Improved model accuracy from 0% to 64% while reducing loss to 1.22% through iterative debugging and parameter tuning.
• Bot survived 37 hands against peer-designed bots in a live classroom tournament.
• Evaluated system performance metrics and compiled a detailed engineering report highlighting analytics, performance trends, strengths and weaknesses.
• Presented findings to engineering colleagues, enabling collaborative problem solving and driving operational improvements. Also participated in a tournament and placed 4th overall.
